Best Pokémon TCG Pocket Decks

Energy : Darkness

Three different attackers provide multiple lines of play. — I rank it in S tier because it can create immediate pressure with several complementary attackers. The list has an excellent balance between damage, mobility, disruption and consistency.

Energy : Grass

Caterpie gives the Butterfree line excellent consistency. — This is probably one of the most consistent. Caterpie, the draw engine, Quick-Grow Extract and the two Stadiums significantly accelerate the setup of Mega Sceptile EX.

Energy : Fighting

Mega Lucario EX applies strong offensive pressure quickly. — I place Mega Lucario EX in S tier for its combination of speed, damage and flexibility. The list also includes several secondary Pokémon that help it adapt without significantly slowing down the main plan.

Energy : Darkness

Excellent Energy freedom. Weezing EX does not need Energy to provide its main damage contribution, allowing Mega Absol EX or Hoopa EX to be powered immediately. — I rank this deck in A tier because of its excellent Energy flexibility: Weezing EX generates passive Poison + Burn damage without monopolizing Energy, allowing Hoopa EX or Mega Absol EX to be powered immediately. The deck is very strong and technical, but effects that prevent Special Conditions and certain specific matchups can significantly reduce its effectiveness.

Energy : Psychic

Sleep can completely disrupt the opponent's tempo. — I rank it in S tier because of its combination of control, status effects and constant pressure. Sleep can deny entire turns while Darkrai and Mega Altaria gradually build an advantage.

Energy : Grass

Vespiquen ex can reach 140 damage very quickly. — The deck can handle many matchups thanks to Shuckle ex in the early game and Vespiquen ex's 140 damage. The ability to discard a damaged or obsolete Pokémon makes its game plan particularly stable.

Energy : Lightning

Miraidon is a very strong finisher. — Deck heavily represented in top decks, with Miraidon acting as a flexible finisher and strong sleep-counterplay.

Energy : Darkness

Roaring Moon provides a switching effect usable in addition to a Supporter. — Very good deck, with Roaring Moon acting like an extra “Sabrina” effect on top of a Supporter, but its anti-Oricorio plan can require a lot of energy.

Energy : Lightning

Very aggressive, close to the fastest decks. — Deck very aggressive, with Zeraora to start quickly and Elemental Switch to accelerate Mega Manectric ex. Its main limit is that it becomes less comfortable if it cannot take an early point.

Energy : Fighting

Very aggressive deck. — Deck very aggressive, with a lot of draw and Shaymin to ease Riolu or Hitmontop retreats. Its main weakness is draw dependency, since there is only one Lucario and one Mega Lucario ex.

Energy : Grass

Fragrant Forest replaces Poké Ball and stabilizes Grass Basic Pokémon better. — S tier: tournament-winning deck (500+ players), with strong Bench pressure, Fragrant Forest to stabilize Grass Basics and Ogerpon to improve certain matchups. It is a very good for climbing to Masterball.

Energy : Grass

Very strong consistency thanks to the Grass stadium. — S tier: this deck is presented as the winner of a 500+ player tournament, with strong damage, stadium control, and several attack lines. The Grass stadium replaces Poké Ball in this version and gives the deck excellent consistency.
